The PUMA Speedcat hits the asphalt in two new archive-inspired colourways. The SPEEDCAT ARCHIVE represents a fresh take on the timeless SPEEDCAT sneakers, which have been at the forefront of the low-profile trend for 2024.
This collection exudes a vintage vibe by featuring ultra-suede material on the upper, with an embroidered side logo and a leather Formstrip, while maintaining signature elements such as the sleek, streamlined silhouette, stitched Cat logo on the toe, and rubber tooling around the heel.
Available in two colorways—light blue and oat coffee—the SPEEDCAT ARCHIVE showcases enhanced colour depth and a soft, luxurious feel, thanks to its upgraded ultra-suede material. Moreover, as a global brand, PUMA has prioritised sustainability by using suede sourced from Leather Working Group, a leading company in environmentally responsible leather production.
The insole is designed with a double canvas Strobel structure for maximum comfort, while the midsole is injected with ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) material to improve overall cushioning. Softform+ technology in the footbed, combined with rubber tooling around the heel, ensures a lightweight and comfortable fit.
The archival Speedcat is portrayed alongside another thrilling, high-octane pursuit, as the 25-year-old silhouette is envisioned within the world of motorsports. Set in the badlands, the rebellious campaign produced in collaboration with NAKED Copenhagen depicts the Speedcat as an outsider, challenging the status quo of sneaker culture. Embodying female energy and fearless self-expression, stylist and creative Sierra Rena reappears as the muse of the campaign.
In addition, to coincide with the launch of the SPEEDCAT ARCHIVE, the brand is releasing photos and videos imbued with vintage sensibility, presenting various styling options for individuals with unique personalities.
These latest editions follow up on the original black and red Speedcat colourways launched in June earlier this year, nodding to the racewear uniforms of iconic F1 racing teams.
The PUMA Speedcat Archive is available at PUMA.com and selected retailers such as ATMOS KL, at a retail price of RM549.
