Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-fat (周润发) may be semi-retired now, but he’s still dearly loved by fans. It certainly helps that he isn’t a recluse. Chow Yun-fat has often been seen out and about, enjoying life outside the spotlight!
Yesterday (18th May), was the famous star’s birthday. Fellow actress, Priscilla Wong Tsui Yu (黄翠如) took the opportunity to wish and bless Chow on his 67th birthday. The photo of the duo looking casual delighted fans who also left well-wishes.
Priscilla, who recently returned from Malaysia, posted her wishes to Chow on her Instagram yesterday. She kept her message simple but sweet. “Wishing our Brother Fat happy birthday,” she wrote. “(Wishing you) happiness and health.” The actress also included a photo of the duo, taken while hiking. Both were smiling brightly at the camera while posing on a bridge.
Fans were quick to add their own birthday wishes in the comments with many wishing him happiness and health as well. Some also commented on how humble Chow looked in the photo. One fan even stated: “Happy birthday to Brother Fat. Happy hiking and I hope to meet you next time!”
Chow has never been averse to taking photos with fans, regardless of where he is. Netizens also praised his generosity earlier this year when he was spotted giving angpaos to people while outside.
