In recent years, people have been curious about Prince Mateen of Brunei’s love life, especially after being spotted with rumoured girlfriend Anisha Isa-Kalebic on several occasions. The two never officially confirmed their relationship nor have they posed together in a photo on their personal social media.
It looks like people will have to keep guessing because the rumoured couple was photographed being all lovey-dovey together in Singapore. Take a look:
Prince Mateen has been in Singapore for the past week on official business and he was also spotted attending the Formula 1 (F1) Race that happened over the weekend. His Royal Highness attending the event was not much of a surprise as he attended last year’s as well, but what people probably didn’t expect was the group photo that was taken.
In the photo posted above by the @theroyals_squadx Instagram page, the Crown Prince was seen with his arms around Anisha. The last time the couple were seen hugging on camera was back in March after Mateen’s team won a sports game, however, the viral post was not well-received by netizens as they believe the two should wait until they’re married to be that affectionate, especially in public.
Surprisingly, this time, the reaction to this photo has been vastly different compared to the viral video from earlier this year. Most comments were very supportive and pointed out that this may be the first time His Royal Highness was seen hugging his girlfriend for a photo as the two have always been careful about how they pose together in previous photos.
Speaking of previous photos, the same IG page posted several other photos of the rumoured lovers happily attending other events throughout the year. Netizens have all been wondering if the two will officially announce their relationship or even a wedding in the near future.
Up until now, neither the couple nor the Brunei Royal family have confirmed the dating rumours that’s been circulating. Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out when the time comes.
