Pos Malaysia Berhad (“Pos Malaysia”), the national post and parcel service provider, has partnered with Malaysian brand APOM to launch ‘A Tapestry of Malaysia’, a special Malaysia Day stamp collection featuring 14 designs inspired by Malaysia’s states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The collection celebrates the country’s stories, culture and shared sense of belonging through distinctive visuals that capture the identities, traditions and experiences that shape Malaysia.
Featuring cultural icons, landmarks, traditions and everyday moments, the collection offers a visual journey across the nation. Inspired by APOM’s #empatbelas initiative, the 14 original designs are transformed into stamps that celebrate Malaysian culture, heritage and identity while bringing different places and communities into one shared national canvas.
The collaboration also creates a symbolic link between Malaysia’s postal past and contemporary local creativity through APOM’s flagship store at the former Kuala Lumpur General Post Office. Once a hub that connected Malaysians through letters and postage, the heritage building adds a nostalgic layer to the collection and gives visitors a meaningful place to discover and purchase the stamps.
For Pos Malaysia, the collaboration shows how stamps can continue to connect people with the places, memories and stories that define Malaysia. It also reflects the company’s belief that every connection, whether through a letter, parcel, postcard or stamp, plays a part in keeping individuals, businesses and communities in tune with the pulse of the nation.

A Celebration of Malaysian Identity
At its heart, ‘A Tapestry of Malaysia’ celebrates Malaysia Day by honouring the people, culture and creative expressions that give each state and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur its own distinct identity. As Malaysians reflect on the bonds between Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia, the collection presents the nation’s diversity through recognisable cultural, historical and visual elements from across the country.
Each design captures a theme unique to its state or territory, drawing on the places, traditions and cultural markers that shape local identity — from Johor’s heritage architecture, Kedah’s paddy fields, Kelantan’s Wayang Kulit, Melaka’s layered history and Negeri Sembilan’s Tarian Lilin, to Pahang’s natural landscapes, Penang’s everyday harmony, Perak’s nostalgic icons, Perlis’ Angin Timur, Sabah’s biodiversity, Sarawak’s cultural motifs, Selangor’s mosque architecture, Terengganu’s Wau Dodo Helang and Kuala Lumpur’s urban landmarks. Together, these designs reflect the richness of Malaysia’s many identities in a way that is distinctive, accessible and rooted in place.
Inspired by APOM’s #empatbelas Initiative
The collection draws inspiration from APOM’s #empatbelas initiative, which has championed Malaysian designers and state pride through art and design over the past six years. The selected designers bring distinctive creative voices and personal perspectives, expressing local identity through original visuals. Through this collaboration, the initiative is reimagined as a special stamp collection to collect, preserve and share. Each designer worked within a common creative framework to develop iconic visuals that highlight the places, traditions, heritage and everyday moments that define their home state.
‘A Tapestry of Malaysia’ Special Stamp Collection
The collection is priced at RM35.20 and includes a sheetlet featuring all 14 special stamp designs, comprising 90 sen stamps, a First Day Cover with 14 stamps and special cancellation, an exclusive campaign postcard, an informational flyer and a folder. It will be available for pre-order via the Pos Malaysia online store from 1st September 2026, and available for sale at A Piece of Malaysia (APOM), Pejabat Pos Besar Lama on 16th September 2026. From 17th September 2026 onwards, the collection will be available at 90 Philatelic Bureaus nationwide, including 13 General Post Offices, selected post offices and the Pos Malaysia online store, while stocks last.
Exclusive APOM Merchandise Collection
In conjunction with the launch, APOM will release a special merchandise collection inspired by the 14 designs, including T-shirt (RM68), notebook (RM15 each or RM40 for a set of 3), postcard (RM8) and tote bag (RM40). The postcard collection also pays tribute to the former Kuala Lumpur General Post Office and its legacy as a place where stories, memories and connections were shared through postage.
The merchandise collection, priced from RM8 to RM68, will be available at A Piece of Malaysia, Pejabat Pos Besar Lama and APOM outlets, including Bangsar Village 1, Central Market, The Campus and Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery starting 24th August 2026.
The launch also marks the opening of A Piece of Malaysia, APOM’s flagship store at the former Kuala Lumpur General Post Office, bringing Malaysian heritage, local artistry and the tradition of postage together in one space. The location also gives visitors a meaningful place to discover the stamp collection and related merchandise.
Through ‘A Tapestry of Malaysia’, Pos Malaysia and APOM invite Malaysians, collectors and visitors to rediscover the many places, cultures and creative expressions that shape the nation.
