Police Shed Light On DOLLA Interrogation: “They Were Acting Suspicious”

Just recently, Malaysian girl group DOLLA had an unexpected encounter with 3 strange men late at night. Not knowing if they were actual policemen, the girl group posted their terrifying experience on social media to ask for advice and help from the public.

Well, because of the public blow-out, (and the burning questions from social media) their questions are finally answered! However, the story is apparently much more complicated than we thought. Here’s what happened:

FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY

It was previously reported that the four girl members were stopped by three unknown men claiming they were the police. Without showing any proper identification or wearing any police uniforms, they asked the girls for their identification cards. Feeling violated, the girls took the sensitive situation out to the public.

Fans came for the group’s defense by tagging PDRM along with the hashtag #DollaDeservesBetter. Based on the members’ stories, many speculated that the men were not police officers as they violated certain procedures. However, according to a report by Harian Metro, the accused men were indeed actual policemen.

Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner A A Anbalagan denied speculations and allegations that the men were impersonators by releasing a statement saying that they were simply monitoring entertainment centre operations in the Puchong Jaya administrative area.

Contradictory to DOLLA’s statement, the three policemen actually did show proper identification before asking for the members’ identification cards. “The action was taken after found that the four women were acting suspiciously by the side of the road at 11:30pm and they were then allowed to leave the location after a police inspection found no wrongdoing,” the Police Chief Assistant Commissioner explained.

But what exactly happened that frightened DOLLA so much that they had to ask for help? For further investigation, A A Anbalagan urged the one who wrote the statement on DOLLA’s Twitter account to come forward to help determine if there were any abuse of authority while investigations were carried out.
