Makeup works wonders on a person – if utilised correctly. It can enhance the way a person looks, and celebrities depend on them to showcase their best appearance. However, just as wardrobe malfunctions are pretty common, makeup can end in disaster, too.
Not long ago, a netizen shared on Xianghongshu (小红书) unfiltered photos of HK singer Fiona Sit (薛凯琪) during a public event she attended. The post eventually went viral – but for the wrong reasons. Some netizens noticed that her makeup seemed very off that day, and pointed out that it was because of her overly thick eyebrows. Some even compared her eyebrows to a hairy caterpillar and the well-known childhood character, Crayon Shin-chan (蜡笔小新).
From the photos, Fiona is seen in a stunning off-shoulders purple dress and glittering accessories. Her makeup artist gave her a light smoky-eyes look paired with rosy cheeks and lips. On first look, her makeup complimented her radiant skin really well, however, a netizen pointed out that her eyebrows ruined the whole look. “Who was the one who drew her eyebrows? How could they do that to such a beauty? I’m calling the police,” the netizen said.
Many others agreed with the netizen after seeing that remark and started commenting on the makeup malfunction too. Some netizens mentioned that the singer’s eyebrows are drawn too dense and too close to the middle of her forehead, which gives off the illusion that her forehead was really ‘short’, ruining her beautiful face.
