When it comes to fueling up your car, every driver has their preference – but most agree that they want the best value. However, a tweet recently got netizens questioning if the fuel from Petronas tends to run out faster than the others.
Twitter user Shabina recently tweeted, “Does Petronas’ fuel really run out faster or is it just my imagination? Because when I use Caltex, the fuel meter seems to decrease slowly. When using Petronas, it goes to half (the meter) quickly.” While it seemed like a curious observation, Shabina’s tweet sparked a debate amongst drivers.
Many agreed with Shabina’s observation, saying that they also felt that Petronas fuel runs out faster than the other brands. Another driver said he avoided using Petronas fuel for a long time for the exact reason, saying that other brands would give him a better value per pump. Some also named other brands that last longer, like Petron and Shell. One netizen even said their car can go up to two weeks on a single pump when they use Shell.
However, many disagreed with the tweet, saying there should be no differences in fuel and it only depends on the driver and the car in question. One netizen said the opposite though, saying that he thinks Petronas fuel has more value and depletes slower than other brands. Many also said that despite Petronas fuel depleting faster, they’re better for the engine and allow a smoother driving experience.
