What a blast! Pavilion Bukit Jalil successfully wrapped up its highly anticipated Pavilion x JAGAM Matsuri, welcoming thousands of visitors from 30th July to 3rd August 2025 for a dynamic cultural immersion that lit up the heart of Bukit Jalil.

Organised in collaboration with the Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia (JAGAM), the five-day event transformed the mall into a bustling Japanese street festival.

Traditional Bon Odori dance performances, mouth-watering street food stalls, and uniquely Japanese pop-up experiences turned a shopping trip into a sensory journey across Japan.

“Pavilion x JAGAM Matsuri has been a joyful celebration of culture, community and connection. From families and cultural enthusiasts to the younger generation, it’s been wonderful to see so many Malaysians coming together to appreciate the richness of Japanese tradition and creativity.

“With JAGAM and the support of the Embassy of Japan, we’ve transformed the mall into a vibrant stage for cross-cultural exchange as a reminder of the beauty that blossoms when diverse cultures unite in friendship and festivity,” said Dato’ Joyce Yap, Chief Executive Officer (Retail) of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn. Bhd.

Adding to the lively cultural showcases, shoppers also explored a host of activities and attractions across the mall.

From an exquisite bonsai and automotive display to a bustling marketplace filled with authentic Japanese food and crafts offering something for everyone, it was a cultural extravaganza.

Shoppers were further rewarded with limited-time treats, including BUKIT JALIL TSUTAYA BOOKS tote bags and cash vouchers, making their cultural journey even more memorable.

The overwhelming response from the public has reinforced Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s position as more than just a retail destination, it is evolving into a vibrant hub for cultural discovery and shared community experiences.

From families enjoying performances together, to shoppers exploring authentic Japanese crafts and flavours, Pavilion x JAGAM Matsuri turned an ordinary visit into a truly memorable cultural journey.

As the Pavilion x JAGAM Matsuri comes to a close, Pavilion Bukit Jalil looks ahead to more vibrant celebrations that honour global traditions and foster meaningful connections.

In the spirit of “Together.Here.”, the mall will continue to serve as a destination where stories are shared, cultures celebrated and communities brought together.
