Over the weekend, 2 very unexpected tragedies happened: the murder of Christina Grimmie by a gunman and the massacre of 50 people in a gay bar, both of which happened in Orlando.
While it showed the worst of humanity, the good in mankind prevailed too. Not only did netizens all over the world condemn the actions of the gunmen and vowed to make changes, countless celebrities poured in support too.

South Korean celebrities such as Jay Park, G-Dragon of BIGBANG, Amber of f(x), Peniel of BTOB, Jo Kwon from 2AM, CL of 2NE1, and Brian of Fly to the Sky left messages of condolences to the victims as well as their families, and condemned the actions of the gunman responsible for the death of over 50 people in Pulse Orlando, dubbed as the “hottest gay bar” in the heart of Orlando.
G-Dragon posted an Instagram video in direct support of the incident, but has since deleted the video as it amassed hundreds of hateful comments such as homophobic slurs and offensive insults against the LGBTQ community and G-Dragon himself. The BIGBANG leader has since posted up 2 indirect photos in support of the victims of the mass murder.

The gunman of the Orlando shooting has been identified as Omar Mateen, 29, who started his rampage a little after 2am during Pulse Orlando’s “Latin Flavour” event.
An estimated amount of 300 patrons were in the bar, with 39 of them and the gunman pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, an additional 11 people were taken to the hospital for injuries but were unfortunately pronounced dead there. 53 other guests were hurt in the incident.
Amongst the victims were Cory James Connell, a 21-year-old student at Valencia College who aspired to become a firefighter. He was gunned down while leaving Pulse with his girlfriend when the gunman walked in. Shane Evan Tomlinson, singer of the band Frequency, who performed in the bar just hours before the shooting, was another victim of the injustice.
