Permatang Pauh MP, Nurul Izzah Anwar, is officially off the market! The female politician announced that she officially tied the knot with Khazanah Research Insitute analyst Yin Shao Loong.

As per reports, the solemnisation ceremony was held last week on Friday (5th August), at her family’s home in Bandar Sungai Long, Kajang. The event was attended only by the closest family members. Additionally, Izzah’s dad, Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was in charge of officiating the wedding.

Soon after her wedding made the news, Izzah, also known as Puteri Reformasi, took to her Facebook to relay the good news to the public. The 42-year-old wrote, “Hello best friend. Praise be to God.” She also accompanied the post with a few photos taken during the wedding ceremony.

As seen in the photos shared on social media, Yin appeared dashing in a pair of traditional baju melayu outfit, complete with a songkok and songket sampin. Meanwhile, the bride looked stunning in a pair of baju kurung crafted by local designer Fizi Woo. Nurul Izzah also completed her simple wedding outfit with a purple hijab from the brand Bawal Exclusive.

Many netizens flooded the comments section with positive remarks and also congratulatory wishes for the lovely couple.. Others were also head over heels with the couple’s modest and simple ceremony. To quote one commenter, “The wedding ceremony was so simple. She only wore a ‘bawal’-styled hijab for her big day. It’s been such a long time since we saw YB Nurul Izzah smiling so freely. Congratulations and I wish you the best.”
