It’s an exciting week for BLINKs! On 13th February, BLACKPINK member Rosé (로제) released the performance music video for her song “Number One Girl.” The following day, 14th February, Jisoo (김지수) finally dropped the music video for “Earthquake,” the first single from her mini-album “AMORTAGE”.
To celebrate the success of both videos and songs, let’s take a closer look at the projects. Here are some fun facts about the idols’ latest music videos:
1. Actor Cha Seung Won appeared in “Earthquake” MV

At the beginning of the music video, we see Jisoo being interrogated by a police officer who is played by Cha Seung Won. The actor is actually a former labelmate of the singer as the two of them were previously signed under YG Entertainment for acting projects.
2. Jisoo already spoiled the choreography during interviews
Ahead of the release of “AMORTAGE”, Jisoo has been interviewed on several Korean shows. When she appeared on SALON DRIP, the BLACKPINK member couldn’t resist but to give a little spoiler of the “Earthquake” choreography. The idol spoiled the dance again when she appeared on the MEET THE PERSON podcast.

3. “Earthquake” was directed by Christian Breslauer

At the end of the music video, Christian Breslauer was credited as the director. He previously worked on all three of Ariana Grande’s music videos for “Yes, And?”, “We Can’t Be Friends”, and “The Boy Is Mine” from her latest album “Eternal Sunshine”. He’s also no stranger to K-pop as he was also the director of TXT’s “Chasing That Feeling” from their “The Name Chapter: Freefall” album.
4. “Number One Girl” was filmed at the same location as “The Hunger Games”

If you thought the location for Rosé’s performance video for “Number One Girl” looked familiar, that’s because it is. The video was filmed at the Espaces d’Abraxas in France and it was the same location where they filmed a scene for “Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2”.
5. It was Rosé’s first time performing interpretive dance

After leaving YG to focus on her solo projects, Rosé has yet to incorporate choreography into her music videos. The performance video for “Number One Girl” was the first time we saw the singer dance, but that’s not all—it was also her first time performing interpretive dance. This style differs from modern dance, as it focuses more on conveying human emotions through movement and dramatic expression.
