Are you ready to come face to face with death?

The Weeknd – aka Abel Tesfaye – has just released a bloody, action-packed video for his latest single, “False Alarm”, continuing his trend of violent visuals, but this might just be his most sinister one yet.

There’s a reason why a parental advisory warning for “explicit content” and “graphic violence” is stated at the beginning. The singer and director Ilya Naishuller weren’t exaggerating. The music video features a very bloody, very violent of a bank heist that is shown from The Weeknd’s point of view.

“False Alarm” makes you feel like you’re in a video game, and the assignment is to execute an elaborate bank robbery. Most of the hostages have been murdered with the exception of an innocent young lady who has been handcuffed. The task at hand? Keep her safe while killing every cop in sight.

A high-speed, explosive chase ensues where the robbers are seen transporting the stolen money, hostage and themselves into another van in an attempt to escape. Unfortunately a duffel bag of cash is lost along the way. The other robber, understandably pissed, tries to shoot the singer.

Luckily, the woman saves The Weeknd by shooting the accomplice. Unfortunately, the van crashes and the last remaining robber finds himself with a shard of glass through his stomach. After the kidnapped woman escapes with the stolen money, the camera pans to a mirror showing the performer looking at himself. We also see him wearing the same cross necklace that made its debut in the “Starboy” video.

We won’t spoil the ending for you but if you’re familiar with his previous videos, you’ll know how this one ends.

We don’t know about you, but this is certainly the most violent music videos our sweet little doe eyes have view.

“False Alarm” is the 2nd single from The Weeknd’s upcoming album, “Starboy”, which will be released on 25th November.
