Nora Danish may appear to have the perfect life. She has the beauty, fame, plus the perfect family. But then again, the actress also has her fair share of struggles in her personal life.
During a chat with mStar and Harian Metro recently, the 40-year-old opened up about her mental health struggles, and how she copes with them. Nora revealed she’s been experiencing more anxiety these days, and would often overthink. To quote the stunning celeb herself, this is apparently due to her getting older.
“The older I get, the more I overthink. For instance, I would tend to think too much whenever I get on a plane ride. I do have anxiety and stage fright. I’ve been experiencing those changes just recently. Probably due to the factor of my age now, it makes me constantly think about death. I myself am an overly-emotional and sensitive person, so when something happens, it will often contribute to overthinking,” the “Tentang Dhia” star told the media outlet.
Nora added by saying, “I don’t have any treatment for my anxiety, but instead, I learn to control myself through sharing on social media. Nothing to do with netizens, but rather myself. That said, I don’t want to think of it as something negative. I think of what I’m experiencing as a superpower that I can channel to positive things. By this method, I would appreciate the people around me more.”
“I’m not affected by what others are saying about me, because I know not everyone will be pleased with us. But career-wise, it can get stressful if we fail to achieve our target. I’ve always imagined that you will achieve a lot of things by the age of 40. But I feel like there are many more things that I haven’t achieved. It’s okay to cry if you feel depressed. I always tell myself to never give up and become a better version of yourself the next day,” the local artiste was quoted as saying.
Nora was spotted during the premiere screening of her upcoming movie titled “Kan Cheong”.
