Lately, Ameera Khan, stole the attention of netizens with her recent appearance without her headscarf on. Many assumed that the social media influencer had finally ditched her hijab-clad image for good.
Recently, Ameera’s mom, Datin Noor Kartini, was approached by the local media to comment on the matter. During the interview with the press, Kartini admitted that the 22-year-old is still in the process of “improving herself”.
“If you take a look at Ameera, she’s not wearing a full veil. She still covers her hair with a hat, cap, headbands, and so forth. This shows that Ameera is still in the phase of training herself (to wear the full hijab). Therefore, I think it’s best for us to pray for her, because if God wills, good things will come to us in return too,” the entrepreneur told Berita Harian.
Kartini added that, as a mother, she is thankful that her children do not engage themselves in carrying out indecent activities. According to her, “I feel grateful, none of my kids have been seen by other people in nightclubs, drinking, drunk and smoking. As we all can see, when we live in the city, there are a lot of worse things that could happen.”
“But thank God, we are surrounded by our own family members. Ameera is often with her brothers and sisters. Unless, she receives invitations from big brands that requires her to attend the events alone. Since we are public figures, even a minor fault is considered big for them. We have to accept the fact and remain strong,” the 55-year-old was quoted as saying.
At the end of the interview, Kartini revealed, “I also received a lot of DMs from a few people who apologised to me for talking bad about my family. I replied to them, saying that I thank God for opening their hearts. All humans are imperfect. Let us all pray for the best, InsyaAllah, good things will happen to us. May God bless us.”
