The growing desperation to see new NJZ (엔제이지) (formerly NewJeans/뉴진스) content racks Bunnies as whispers and rumours of the group’s disbandment hang in the air following the ongoing legal battle between the group and its former company, ADOR. However, NJZ continue to surprise fans who are patiently waiting for their return.

Yesterday (10th June 2025), NJZ announced on their official fan communication app, Phoning, that they will be releasing never-before-seen content on their YouTube channel. Dropping on 12th June 2025, details remain scarce; however, netizens speculate that it might be behind-the-scenes footage from past projects.

With the group’s indefinite hiatus looming over them amid legal battles with ADOR, which indefinitely bars the girl group from independent activities without the company’s approval, fans were surprised by the announcement. There are also speculations of ADOR clickbaiting fans with old content to utilise the group’s continuous support.

Netizens gave mixed reactions, with most leaning towards boycotting ADOR over the announcement. According to users from the Korean entertainment community platform, Instiz, the release of content might just as well be old footage of NJZ from when they were filming past projects. Calls for a boycott over ADOR for releasing content to hype up fans despite the ban on activities are growing evident among Bunnies.

With the ban on activities on NJZ, what do you think ADOR will release tomorrow? Are you boycotting ADOR?
