Nicki Minaj has offered to pay off the student loans for her fans, as long as they can prove that they obtained straight A’s.

The rapper has been tweeting to fans about a contest for fans to meet in her person, but one of her followers tweeted her back with a request to pay for his tuition fees.
It was meant as a joke, but Minaj took it quite seriously. She asked fans to send in results that could be verified with their colleges, and if it were legit, she’ll be paying their existing tuition fees or loans off for them.
What ensued were hundred of tweets sending in proof, with Minaj choosing at least 25 lucky followers. Most of them were less than US$1000 (around RM4300), but Minaj also replied to a follower who requested for US$6000 (around RM26000) for his classes, accommodation, food, and books.
She even tweeted back to a “fellow immigrant”, who explained that the only thing stopping her from obtaining a college education was tuition cost.

After replying tweets for more than an hour, she asked those selected to send in their info via Twitter’s DM (direct message). She jokingly added, “Let me make those payments tomorrow then see if I have any money left ? I’ll do some more in a month or 2.”
Regardless if it’s a publicity stunt, it’s still one heartwarming gesture. Hats off to you, Nicki Minaj.
