Everyone in KL, Selangor and Putrajaya have been wondering if the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will extend again after next Monday (November 9th).

It is unsure whether the government is extending the CMCO due to the number of daily cases, but here are the locations reported to be affected this week:

1.  Teoh & Cheah Clinic, Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya

A patient who suspected dengue was referred to the hospital for Covid-19. The patient’s result was positive Covid.

Dr. Cheah & staff immediately went for Covid screening. All are NEGATIVE. The nurses in close contact with the patient and Dr Cheah are under self quarantine.

Selangor state assemblywoman Lim Yi Wei took to her Twitter handle, @LimYiWei4MY, to state that an individual suspected with dengue had visited Teoh & Cheah Clinic in PJ. Later on, the individual was referred to a hospital where the person had been tested positive for Covid-19.

After the news, Dr. Cheah and the clinic staff went straight to take a swab test and found themselves to be tested negative. However, the doctors and nurses who had close contact with the patient took the precaution to self-quarantine themselves.

2. Maybank Equine Park, Seri Kembangan

Earlier on 3rd November, Maybank released a notice regarding the temporary closure of their Equine Park branch after one of the employees had come into close contact with a Person Under Investigation (PUI) for Covid-19. The branch asserted that the contact was not made within the branch but at an external location.

The branch was immediately closed for deep cleansing and sanitisation for 2 days (3rd November – 4th November). According to MalaysiaKini, the bank has been reopened for business today.

7-Eleven Malaysia has announced the temporary closure of their MCity branch back on Monday (2nd November) after a staff who was based there, tested positive for Covid-19. It is mentioned that the staff member last reported to work on 30th October and is currently receiving medical attention.

In a Facebook post, 7-Eleven stated, “All those in direct contact with our affected staff member has been sent for screening and will be placed under home quarantine until the appropriate medical clearance is given by the authorities. We would like to assure that this is an isolated case and as a precautionary measure, a thorough sanitisation and deep cleansing of the store is being carried out and will remain closed until further notice.”
