SOGO KL has been trending recently after Hollywood star Paris Hilton announced that she’ll be visiting the Malaysian shopping centre next month to celebrate the launch of her new perfume. Many were wondering why the launch would be held at that mall of all places, as it’s not known for being as popular or luxurious as others.
Perhaps there’s more to SOGO KL than meets the eye and this man has some very good points on why the local mall is actually not as bad as people might think it is.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 29th August), a netizen who goes by Faizal Hamssin took to Twitter to list down some of the things that make SOGO KL a good shopping centre for people to go to. According to the man, the food court is always occupied with customers, the luggage department caters well to traveling customers and the perfume department always offers good promos.
Not only that, he claimed that the promoters at the stores are friendlier than those from other malls. “They hire a lot of trans women promoters too, so I support them,” he added. With all that being said, the photography enthusiast mentioned that he also agrees that the mall may be more famous among the “aunties” but justified that it was probably because they may be workers from Government-Linked companies so they have the money to spend at SOGO.
The post went viral with fellow Malaysians agreeing that the wide range of good quality products at SOGO are far more affordable compared to the other luxury malls in KL. Some said they enjoyed the food served at the food court while others agreed that the trans workers are very friendly and approachable.
With Faizal’s viral tweet and Paris Hilton’s upcoming appearance, perhaps, it will encourage more people to give SOGO KL a chance and see all what it has to offer. Will you be stopping by the mall anytime soon?
