Yuna fans, this might be your last chance to catch her regional show this year 🙂

The Malaysian singer-songwriter will be headlining one of Singapore’s largest art and music festivals, Neon Lights, at Fort Canning National Park on 27th November.

Best known for her unique organic blend of contemporary music and soulful R&B sounds, the Kedah-born pop singer-songwriter is currently preparing for her US tour in October. She recently collaborated with local rapper SonaOne for her latest Malay single, “Pulang”.

According to the festival’s director Declan Forde, Yuna is the perfect addition to Neon Lights as it celebrates and showcases international and “homegrown Asian” acts.

“She’s a fascinating mix of dual identities and themes — born in Malaysia, based in Los Angeles; a singer-songwriter of light contemporary pop with some heavy R&B undertones. It’s all going to make for a very interesting set when she performs and we’re really excited to see what she brings,” he said in a statement.

Neon Lights will be held over 2 days, spanning across 6 stages. Besides the “Crush” singer, the event will also feature other critically-acclaimed acts such as Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros, Swedish alternate folk singer Jose Gonzalez, funk mastermind George Clinton, and British indie band Foals.

Though full details in the line-up has yet to be annnounced, it is said that the sophomore edition of Neon Lights will consist of 50 musicians including Singapore’s very own Gentle Bones, Cashew Chemists, and Linying.

Details for the festival are as follows:

  • Date: 26th – 27th November 2016
  • Venue: Fort Canning National Park, Singapore
  • Ticketing: SDG 120 onwards

Festival tickets are already on sale via Neon Light’s official website and Apactix’s website.
