A music icon – Kenny Rogers – has departed from this world. He was 81.
The entertainer dominated the pop and country charts throughout the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Islands in the Stream,” and “Lucille”.

The Rogers family announced that he “passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.” Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the family will only be holding a small private service for the time being. A public memorial will take place on a later date.
Throughout his successful music career, Kenny had 24 No. 1 hits, was inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame, won 6 CMA Awards and 3 Grammys. The singer’s 1978 chart-topping hit “The Gambler” resulted in 5 popular TV movies, in which he starred in.
To quote the legend, “not many people get to see the end of the rainbow. But I have.” There will truly never be another Kenny Rogers. Thank you for your music 😉
