How come this doesn’t get talked about much where we are?
The newly released “Terminator: Genisys” trailer just revealed a very dark but also interesting twist related to the Terminator canon and yes, it’s worth all the Terminator rage!
Previously, Arnold Schwarzenegger (can you believe he’s 67 years old?) said of the franchise entry:
The story has changed so I am like a combination of the characters who you have seen in the past. He is a powerful and potentially evil kind of machine that can be very destructive if I see that there is danger from me or for the victory against the machines. I can switch over to being the protector of Sarah Connor. It depends where we are in this storyline.
In case you didn’t know, the new Terminator film is the 5th theatrical film in the “Terminator” series (read: sequel) and a reboot all at the same time, thanks to mind-bending sci-fi logic.
The official synopsis is as follows:
When John Connor (played by Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese (played by Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah (played Emilia Clarke, of
“I am Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, khaleesi to Drogo’s riders, and queen of the Seven..”“Game of Thrones” fame), from a Terminator assassin, an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline. Instead of a scared waitress, Sarah is a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) by her side. Faced with unlikely allies and dangerous new enemies, Reese sets out on an unexpected new mission: reset the future.
Warning: This new twist might just make it the best Terminator in decade. In fact, it’s a major spoiler alert on its own and it can’t be unseen.
