Woman Furious After Mother-In-Law Steals Underwear: “How Can Anyone Be So Thick-Skinned And Unhygienic?”

Mothers and daughters-in-law often don’t see eye to eye. But this time, we find ourselves siding with the daughter-in-law, especially after reading her drama over some dirty underwear.

A Taiwanese lady recently aired her grievances about her mother-in-law on the internet. Apparently, she saw nothing wrong with not only stealing, but also using her daughter-in-law’s personal undergarments. Needless to say, the daughter-in-law gained a lot of sympathy.

The lady shared that her mother-in-law had recently come to Taipei. She asked to stay at her and her husband’s place for a few nights, claiming she could not find a hotel. However, fearing that she would be at her mother-in-law’s beck and call for a whole day, the lady decided to return to her home instead.

She reportedly stayed with her own parents until past 10pm, before decided to return home. Upon noticing her mother-in-law was asleep, she went to the balcony to collect her laundry. To her bafflement, she could not find her underwear at all. When she questioned her husband, she discovered her mother-in-law had been to the balcony.

Fearing the worst, she went to check on the toiletries she had prepared for her mother-in-law. When she realised the disposable panties had not been opened, she flew into rage. She stormed her mother-in-law’s room to demand an explanation and unfortunately, said explanation wasn’t any better.

“It’s okay to borrow it for a while,” her mother-in-law reportedly told her. The statement left her speechless. Then, to her horror, the mother-in-law offered to take it off and return it. “You think I dare to wear that?” the lady asked. She tried to get her mother-in-law to repay her for the underwear, claiming it cost about 2,000 Taiwan dollars (~RM290).

Unfortunately, her mother-in-law refused to do so and ignored her request. Instead, she continued insisting that she would take it off, claiming she didn’t want the underwear for herself anymore. The entire argument left the lady upset and frustrated. “How can someone be so thick-skinned and unhygienic?” she reportedly asked.

Netizens were quick to side with the lady, agreeing that the mother-in-law’s actions were disgusting. A few advised her to get her money’s worth back while some created excuses as to why she should not share the lady’s underwear.

Well, this lady was certainly supported in airing out her mother-in-law’s dirty laundry. We sincerely hope she manages to resolve the issue with her mother-in-law soon. Otherwise, she might have to resort to buying and keeping a few pairs of underwear for her mother-in-law at their place!
