Indoor theme parks aren’t anything new, as many of them are scattered throughout Malaysia, like Berjaya Times Square or Genting’s Skytropolis. But have you ever heard of an indoor water park? If not, we’d like to introduce you to Monkeys Splash Zone, home to Malaysia’s first enclosed aqua park!

Nestled in Sungai Long, Cheras, it takes less than an hour’s drive from KL to reach this resort, making it the perfect family trip destination. The water park in Monkeys Canopy will be opened to the public on 10th January 2024 (Friday), so let’s dive into the details!

Not all amusement centres are family-friendly, especially for those with young children. However, you don’t need to worry about your young ones here, as they’ll be able to play in a safe environment. Kids are in good hands at the water park because lifeguards are always on duty, and even life jackets are available!

The park has plenty of fascinating attractions for people of all ages, including lazy wave pools and long slides throughout. The Whirlpool Whirl is one of the most interesting rides; it will keep you whirling in the vortex and out! Another option is to race with your pal on the Double Dash, where you slide side by side to see who reaches the end of the ride first. Children can splash around, play with aqua sprays, and most importantly, stay safe in the Kiddie Cove, an animal-themed swimming area.

Other attractions also include:

  • Zoomie Glide
  • Giggling Geyser
  • Lost in Amazon
  • Bubble Pool

If you’re travelling long distances to enjoy Monkeys Splash Zone, then you won’t have to fret about accommodations. Only 200 metres from the aquapark is the Monkey Canopy Resorts, and they even offer family suites. There are many different attractions at Monkeys Canopy, like a karting circuit and a dinosaur park, so it’s worth checking out!

Here are some important details to take note of:

  • Address: Lot 683, Jalan Persiaran Bukit Enggang Sg Long Hill, Sungai Long,
    43200 Cheras, Selangor
  • Operating Dates: Tuesday – Sunday
  • Opening Hours: 10am – 8pm (Tuesday – Thursday), 10am – 10pm (Friday – Sunday and public holidays)
  • Ticket Prices: Children: RM45, Adults: RM65
