Just last year, former singer-rapper Mizz Nina posted on her Instagram to announce that she and her then-husband Hujan’s Noh Salleh had decided to go their separate ways after 11 years of marriage. The singer said that the two would remain friends, especially since they adopted a son together.
Since then, the 42-year-old has remained quiet about her love life – until very recently when she shared some exciting news with her fans.
Yesterday (Thursday, 15th June), Mizz Nina, real name Shazrina Azman, posted on her Instagram to announce to the world that she has recently married her new husband Essam Muhammad, a rapper from the United States. While the mother-of-one did not disclose the exact date and location of her marriage, she wrote that the ceremony was done privately, and attended by close friends and family.
“We have both dedicated our lives to da’wah, we share the same goals, and aspirations and are excited for this new chapter in our lives,” the singer wrote in her captions. The “What You Waiting For” artist revealed that she and her husband will have a private wedding reception in Kuala Lumpur in the future.
She ended her post by thanking all her fans for their kind words, prayers, and support. After announcing the exciting news, many of her fellow celeb friends including Dato Siti Nurhaliza, Shila Amzah, Zizan Razak, Ella, Daphne Iking, and Fazura all offered their congratulations to the newlyweds.
How does her ex-husband Noh Salleh feels about the news? At the time of writing, Noh has not commented anything but it’s safe to say that the divorced couple have moved on as the Hujan vocalist was reportedly engaged to a law graduate earlier last month.
As for Mizz Nina’s new husband, there’s not much information on him right now other than him being a Muslim rapper who raps about life struggles, and faith in his music. Regardless, we would like to take this time to congratulate both Mizz Nina and Essam on their marriage.
