Tourists have a few ways of making their stay in Malaysia memorable. One of them is eating durian, the King of Fruits. Well, MIRROR members Keung To (姜涛), Anson Lo (卢瀚霆), Edan Lui (呂爵安) and Jeremy “Jer” Lau (柳應廷) certainly made it one of their highlights during their stay here!
Durian may be Malaysia’s King of Fruits, but not everyone’s a fan of it. After all, its pungency can be off-putting for some. But, it seems these four MIRROR members love eating it. So much so that Edan apparently got into an impromptu durian eating competition with Jeremy!
After performing during the One Love Asia Festival 2023 – Malaysia over the weekend, on 15th May, the four MIRROR members visited 吃榴梿VIP房 to enjoy some delicious durian. As it turns out, they had quite the feast prepared! Both Anson and Edan could be heard shouting excitedly in their Instagram Stories while admiring the durians laid out for them.
Anson unfortunately, was not able to join the others in the durian feast as he had just recovered from gastroenteritis. “(I’ll) watch everyone else eat, I’ll eat ice cream,” he said in his socials. Of course, he still ensured he got to taste the durian by eating durian ice cream.
Edan in particular was very happy with the tasty treat, uploading a short clip of himself snacking on a durian seed. “Very satisfied,” he added in his caption. Additionally, Edan proudly announced that he had beaten Jeremy in a durian eating contest. “Me vs Jer: I win!!!” he exclaimed, showing off the number of seeds he had eaten, his pile looking significantly larger than Jeremy’s.
Well, we’re sure the boys enjoyed themselves a lot in Malaysia! We sincerely hope they return soon, whether to perform or just to eat durian, we’re certain fans will simply be glad they’re back.
