Miley Cyrus is directly addressing her divorce for the first time since her public split.
Following the news that Liam Hemsworth had filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”, the pop star is clearing the air about some cheating rumours. Yes, she has cheated in the past, but not with the Aussie hunk.
Cyrus admitted that she has been controversial over the past few years but maintains that she’s never been unfaithful to Hemsworth. “I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” the 26-year-old singer wrote.
The “Mother’s Daughter” hit-maker added, “I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar. I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where I was when I was a younger.”
“There are NO secrets to uncover here,” she also stated. “I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.”
Since then, several Hollywood stars like Lily Aldridge, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Valletta, Madonna, Bella Thorne and Shailene Woodley have praised Cyrus for speaking her truth.
