It was revealed that a former member from Taiwanese girl group 7 Flowers (七朵花), Zai Zai (仔仔/周雳岑), had passed away at the age of 35. The news of her death came so sudden that it took everyone by shock when it was announced.
The late actress’ farewell ceremony was held in Taipei earlier today. The group 7 Flowers specially gifted a flower basket. Xiao Jie (小潔), a member from 7 Flowers, and Malaysian artist, Alan Chen (曾伟昌), were seen attending the ceremony to send Zai Zai off one last time.
On 23rd June 2023, Alan’s wife, Joe Chen (陈乔恩), posted on her Instagram a group photo of 7 Flowers from when they last hanged out with each other privately. She wrote in the caption, “I’ll forever remember you, and I’ll love you always.” A day after, the post was taken down. Many netizens questioned what happened, and were worried about the Taiwanese actress.
Doris Lai (赖薇如), a member of 7 Flowers, also expressed her sorrow towards the sudden news. “Thank you for your concern. It’s very unfortunate that Zai Zai has left us earlier than expected, but there would always be a place for her in 7 Flowers! She will forever be in our hearts! Please don’t disturb her family. Her kids are still young, let her rest in peace.”
On the other hand, member Joyce Chao (赵小侨) responded to enquiries through her manager. She said, “Zai Zai will forever be in our hearts, thank you everyone for your concern. I hope that you’ll give her family more space, please do not disturb them.”
