Love has been in the air for Malaysian artist Meeia Foo (符瓊音). The 38-year-old recently confessed that she was seeing someone in June this year. However, at the time, Meeia maintained that they were in the early stages and were still “(learning to) get along“.
However, her status has since changed from ‘dating’ to ‘just married’. Yup, that’s right, Meeia tied the knot with her then-boyfriend four months later! The artist has recently announced her latest chapter in life via her socials, much to the joy of her friends and followers.
On 3rd October, Meeia revealed the three changes she’d made to her life. “Recent update,” the artist announced. “One, married. Two, (my) husband is from Taipei. Three, (there are) reasonable prices for commercial performances.” The short but succinct announcement pretty much encapsulated everything that was going on in her life.
News reports later shed more light on Meeia’s new married life. Apparently, she had gotten married to an executive chef who worked with a catering group. They had initially wanted to have a wedding, but eventually decided to register their marriage on 3rd October instead. Apparently, they had wanted to keep their relationship on the down low. Additionally, Meeia’s husband hadn’t proposed. But, this wasn’t a problem to Meeia, who felt “a sense of security is more important than a ritual“.
However, some questioned Meeia’s decision to tie the knot after only four months of dating. “I feel there has been too many partings this year,” Meeia reportedly told SET News Channel (三立新闻网. SETN). “I want to make good use of time with the right people.” The artist also shared that they share similar views. “We get along well. He is the kind of person (I) can live together (with), and he is quite the boyfriend,” she said, adding, “If anything happens, he’ll take care of it.”
Meeia’s latest post has seen her thanking family and friends for being so supportive of their relationship. However, she has asked for patience. “A new role and a new identity has just begun. (We) both need patience to learn,” she stated. “(He) is an outsider so give us some (time) to adapt as he married (a celebrity).”
However, Meeia was equally quick to add her hopes about their marriage. “(We) hope to keep things simple in our daily life,” she shared. “I hope this combination will last till we’re old.” Along with her touching caption, Meeia included two photos of her sweetly kissing and enjoying time with her husband.
Her comments section has been flooded with congratulatory messages. However, none may be more joyful than her mother, currently. Apparently, Meeia’s younger brother was slated to get married previously, but plans were stalled because of Covid.
