For those hoping to eat out – you’re in luck. Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has just announced that restaurants will be allowed to accept dine-in customers.

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, 10th February), all restaurants and eateries can allow dine-in but only 2 pax per table with social distancing of 1 metre apart in place.

All customers must adhere to the existing standard operating procedures (SOP) by checking in using the MySejahtera app and having their temperatures checked before entering the premise. “The number of people in a premise will also be limited according to the size of the shop to ensure physical distancing,” he said.

In addition, the National Security Council has also given the green light for most retail stores to resume business. The list includes clothing shops, shoe shops, accessory shops, fashion, photography shops, toy shops, cosmetic shops, and sports equipment shops. Having said that, pubs, nightclubs and karaokes will have to remain closed.

The current MCO 2.0 is expected to conclude next week.
