Calling all McFlurry lovers, McDonald’s Malaysia has a brand new flavour for you to enjoy!
Starting today (Monday, 26th October), all you dessert fans can indulge in the all-new Sea Salt McFlurry after a satisfying meal.
The Sea Salt McFlurry is described as “the ultimate salt bae”. It comes with a blend of blue swirls with your favourite vanilla ice-cream topped with some shimmering purple and blue sprinkles – promising a perfect blend of sweet and salty.
While this fantasy looking ice cream reminds us of the Fantasy Tail Frappuccino beverage from Starbucks, you may remember that FamilyMart introduced its own version of Mediterranean Sea Salt Sofuto in July 2019. From what we recall, the taste was rather disappointing.
Looking at the comments section in Halal Foodie’s Instagram post, the majority who have tried McD’s Sea Salt McFlurry said it pales in comparison to FamilyMart’s version. Some felt that the dessert was too sweet, while others wrote that it doesn’t even taste like sea salt.
Is it really that bad? One way to find out is to try it for yourself. Just keep your expectations to a minimum.
