Most people think dating is a good way of getting to know the person better. Well, Chinese YouTuber Maze Lin (林嘉凌) recently decided to test it out with an Indian man she had met at a gym in Canada.
Maze has apparently been attending a certain gym in Canada when she caught someone’s eye. Although she hadn’t been interested in his advances, her friend and cameraman soon convinced her to give the guy a try. It was certainly one wild date!
YouTuber Maze Lin recently uploaded a video of her going on a date with an Indian man. Apparently, the guy had fallen head-over-heels for Maze after spotting her at the gym. Maze had made her lack of interest very clear. But, Song, her cameraman, insisted she give him a chance and set up a date for her.
Maze got a pleasant surprise when, after getting dolled up, her date was waiting for her on the front porch with a basket of flowers. “So sweet!” Maze exclaimed before thanking the guy for his gift. The duo made a quick trip to the movies to watch “No Hard Feelings” and while there, the guy shared his first impression of Maze.
He hadn’t known she was an internet celebrity, however, he seemed impressed by what he had seen of her, so far. “I still feel that she is (a) really down-to-earth person,” he stated, adding that he found her “beautiful”. However, it seems he wasn’t prepared for her to strip in his car when they were headed to the gym. Still, he attempted to give her some privacy by looking away and covering his eyes.
While the two exercised at the gym, they continued to flirt with each other. Maze would tease her date with blatant innuendoes and suggestive statements, and while he occasionally played along; he was left looking shy most of the time. Maze also decided to introduce her mom to her date over dinner, and along the way, the two chatted to get to know each other better.
Unfortunately, while her mom was okay with her date, and Maze admitted to enjoying the date, she still wasn’t keen on getting together with him. “I’ll miss you,” she told the guy, before encouraging him to say what was on his mind. “I really like you, (I) hope we can be together, (and) I look forward to our next meeting,” he told her before they parted.
Maze later thanked her date in her video, saying she was happy she had met him too. “But nothing will happen (between) us,” she added. “Because I’m not someone (looking) for commitment, I love (my) freedom.” Still, Maze had found her date a “memorable experience” and was happy she had a wonderful day with him.
Most of her fans enjoyed the video, with several praising Maze Lin for being charming and respectful. Many were also impressed with the Indian man for being such a gentleman. “(Maze’s) date was great, he will definitely meet a great girlfriend,” one praised. But, there were some who felt Maze should not have played her date, knowing she was not interested in him.
It was certainly interesting to watch Maze Lin on her date, showing her colours to someone interested in her. And while we’re sad it didn’t quite work out between the two, like her fans, we sincerely hope they manage to find someone perfect for the both of them.
