Max Changmin of K-pop duo TVXQ will soon return as a solo artist next month with his first new album in nearly five years.
His third EP, “All of My Life,” will arrive Oct. 19 on major music streaming platforms, marking his first solo album since “Devil,” his second EP, which was released in January 2022.
The six-track EP explores the emotions and experiences that come with moving forward through life.
Following the release of the new album, the singer will kick off “Max Changmin Live Session: Resonance” with three shows in Seoul.
He will then perform in Macao and Taipei before embarking on a separate tour across 12 locations in Japan from February through May.
Max Changmin has remained active with TVXQ, including the duo’s recent concert at Nissan Stadium in Japan, while also pursuing a range of individual activities across entertainment, sports and television hosting.
Another singer returning to solo music is Minzy, best known as a member of girl group 2NE1, with the single “Calling”.
The single consists of three songs: a Korean and English version of the R&B track “Calling” and “We Almost Were.” The B-side track “We Almost Were” is a R&B track infused with rock elements and features band DNCE’s guitarist JinJoo Lee.
The single also comes four years and nine months after her previous single “Fantabulous” was released in December 2021.
Minzy debuted as a member of the girl group 2NE1 in 2009 under YG Entertainment, best known for its hit tracks “Fire” (2009), “I Don’t Care” (2009) and “Can’t Nobody” (2010).
She released her first solo album “Minzy Work 01 Uno” in April 2017 and released multiple digital singles such as “Lovely” (2020) and “Teamo” (2021).
Max Changmin debuted as a member of boy band TVXQ in 2003 under SM Entertainment, best known for hit songs including “Hug” (2003), “Rising Sun” (2005), “Mirotic” (2008) and “Keep Your Head Down” (2011). The quintet continued as a two-member act consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin in 2009 after other members left.
