Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the trailer for Avengers: Endgame Encore, a special theatrical re-release of its 2019 blockbuster set to return to cinemas on September 25, 2026.
Rather than revealing brand-new scenes upfront, the trailer leans heavily into nostalgia, revisiting iconic moments like the final battle against Thanos and Tony Stark’s emotional sacrifice to invite audiences back to the big screen.
However, the theatrical run promises an extended 185-minute runtime, four minutes longer than the original cut, which will include exclusive new footage designed to bridge the gap between Endgame and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
The upcoming re-release serves as a direct setup for Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters shortly after on December 18, 2026.
Fans attending the Encore presentation will get an exclusive sneak peek at Doomsday, with extra footage specifically reserved for viewers watching in IMAX and Disney’s newly certified “Infinity Vision” premium large-format theaters.
Co-director Joe Russo previously emphasized that the added footage plays a critical role in enhancing the narrative continuity between the two films, particularly as Robert Downey Jr. makes his high-profile MCU return as Doctor Doom following his character’s fate in the original Endgame release.
