Marrybrown: Which Is Better? Salted Egg Chicken Or Burger?

Why settle for the usual when you can have something Egg-stra? Marrybrown Malaysia recently introduced the Salted Egg Meals to their latest menu.

Using real Salted Egg sauce, the egg-citing menu came in 2 options – the salted egg chicken and chicken burger. It’s currently available in Marrybrown stores nationwide.

Marrybrown Salted Egg

“We know that the Salted Egg trend has been a hit among Malaysians’ over the years and have tried it on every kind of meals possible, but we are confident that our sauce will be a favourite with our customers as not only it has that extra-special kick bound to entice Malaysians, we are adamant to use real salted eggs for this menu as it will add a creamy richness and an umami to the sauce,” said Dato’ Joshua Liew, Chief Executive Officer of Marrybrown.

“We invite all Malaysians to give the Marrybrown Salted Egg Meal a try and experience for yourselves the pleasantly salty and rich taste of the sauce perfectly suited for our local palate!” added Dato’ Joshua.

We’ve tried both the burger and crispy chicken, and here’s our verdict:

Salted Egg Chicken

  • Comes with mashed potatoes, vegetable salad, Heaven and Earth
  • Price from: 2 Pcs of chicken (RM15.90) or 3 Pcs of chicken (RM18.80)

Just when we thought Marrybrown’s crispy chicken couldn’t get any better, the salted egg yolk sauce takes it up a notch. The crunchy and juicy chicken and the robust salted egg yolk sauce is match made in heaven for a sinful meal. The gentle chili heat also blends in perfectly.

Salted Egg Burger

  • Comes with fries, Heaven and Earth
  • Price from RM15

The burger is no different as the salted egg sauce can be seen dripping from the sides. If your intended purpose is simply to taste the salted egg sauce, we’d recommend the crispy chicken set instead. At the end of the day, the main star is still the chicken being drenched in thick salted egg sauce.
