It’s the comeback concert that many have been waiting for! Mandopop icon David Tao (陶喆) recently announced his return to Malaysia later this October for his “Soul Power II” tour, marking his first solo concert here in over a decade!
David kickstarted his “Soul Power II” tour last year, performing in various cities across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. However, the singer is ready to bring his hit to the global stage and recently announced stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Kuala Lumpur. The R&B star will perform in Kuala Lumpur on 4th October 2025 (Saturday). Concert organiser ACO Media will share more details about the concert, including ticket prices and seating plan, soon.
The “Soul Power II” tour is the sequel to David’s first-ever concert tour, highlighting his illustrious decades-long career in music. The concert will feature performances of songs from the 56-year-old’s latest album, “Stupid Pop Songs”, and his extensive discography. Fans can also expect performances of David’s timeless hits, including “I Love You”, “Who Do You Love?” and “Love Can…”.
The upcoming concert also marks the singer’s long-awaited return to Malaysia for a solo concert. His last solo concert here was in 2014, when he performed at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting. However, the last time David performed in Malaysia was in 2023 for a joint concert. Given how long it’s been since his solo show, it’s no surprise that fans are eager to grab tickets to the show. Here’s what we know about the concert:
