No one is ever ready to receive news of a loved one’s passing. Sometimes, your emotions take over to the point where you can barely contain your emotions any longer. That was what happened to this young man in Indonesia after hearing about his father’s death while aboard a train.
A video of the incident was uploaded onto TikTok by user @/mrloaldino, who was standing beside the man on the train. The man started to squat down and burst into tears, prompting the TikTok user to question him on what happened. The man then explained that he had just received news of his father’s passing.

Even more heartbreaking was that his father had passed away on the morning of Hari Raya Haji, and the man was apparently on his way to his hometown. In the video, the man was being comforted by the other passengers on the train, and through the video’s captions, the TikTok user also sent his condolences.
The video has since received over one million views and thousands of comments. Many netizens sent their condolences to the man and praised the other passengers for consoling the crying individual. Some also sympathised with him as they had a similar experience receiving devastating news while on public transportation.
It must’ve been devastating for the man to hear about his father’s passing on the morning of a joyous occasion. We would like to offer our condolences to him and his family.
