A lot of daycare centres have come under fire for abusing not only toddlers but infants as well. CCTV footage of these abusers have sparked outrage among netizens and instilled fear in parents to leave their children under the care of a supposed guardian.

We can only imagine how this mother from Malaysia felt when she found out her daughter was being physically abused at the daycare centre. In addition, another Singaporean father caught his maid sexually assaulting his two children. Here are their stories:

The Malaysian Mother’s Story

A local mother who goes by Rin Azmin took to her private Facebook account to share her horror when she discovered that her toddler was abused by her caretakers at a daycare centre. In her original post, the woman said, “I nearly fainted when I found out. They had the nerve to lie to me. I paid them RM1.3k a month for you to take care of my child, not hurt her!”.

According to Rin, she noticed something was wrong in early August after her daughter begged her to not send her to school cause she was afraid. Suspecting that something must’ve happened, the mother asked to take a look at the centre’s CCTV footage to which the staff denied access. “I had to call the centre’s HQ to be able to look at the footage but even then it was a randomly selected footage,” she wrote.

One day, both Rin and her husband noticed their daughter was covered in bruises and demanded to see CCTV footage of the day of the incident which the staff claimed to be an accident. After going through much trouble to view the footage, the parents finally received access and learned that one of the caretakers had physically abused their child.

The Singaporean Father’s Story

Thankfully, the abuser was arrested by police yesterday (Tuesday, 5th September) and the child is currently being treated for her injuries. If that incident wasn’t terrifying enough, this couple from Singapore caught their maid sexually assaulting their children. The father (who wished to remain anonymous) claimed that his family caught their newly-hired helper sexually assaulting his 1-year-old and 4-year-old children by touching their private parts.

“No parents in their right mind will allow their innocent children to be violated by sexual predators,” he said on the Complaint Singapore Facebook page. The man even shared screenshots of CCTV footage as well as an audio recording of his eldest child detailing what had happened to her. The Singaporean man reported the incident to the National Anti-Violence and Sexual Harassment (NAVH) and the Association of Women for Action and Research (Aware).

The caretaker has since been arrested and according to AsiaOne, investigations are still ongoing. The man said his eldest child is currently being treated for her trauma and that he will not be hiring any helpers for the time being. We hope that these families will receive justice for what was done to their children.
