Malaysian Man Who Threatened To Kill Agong Arrested

At the time of writing, there is still no update on who will become the next Prime Minister of Malaysia. Citizens of the country are still waiting for news and many have even come up with their own conspiracy theories of what’s going on behind closed doors. But, until the King officially releases a statement, we have no choice but to continue waiting.

The anticipation can get anybody riled up, jumping to conclusions and it could also lead to potential danger, especially to His Majesty who has yet to make a decision. While there’s nothing wrong with one expressing their frustration over the current situation, threatening to kill the Royals should not be taken lightly.

A man who goes by the name @WilliamKhor87 on his social media posted his frustration over the Hung Parliament situation by sharing a news headline about His Majesty on his IG story yesterday (Tuesday, 22nd November) at 4pm. The man was apparently calling all Malaysians to stand up and protest against corrupted leaders and accused the King and the Royal Family of being corrupted themselves.

“We don’t need the Royal Family anymore. Who are they? CORRUPTED HUMAN BEINGS, AM I RIGHT?” he wrote. Towards the end of the IG Story, the seemingly angry rant became very concerning after the netizen suggested that the Royals should be wiped out from the face of the Earth, encouraging Malaysians to kill the Royal family. “Kill them for the sake of Democracy,” he ended his post.

William’s post quickly went viral on social media and authorities have been made aware of the death threat. According to a statement released by Selangor Police Chief, the IG user has been arrested last night at 10:30pm in Kajang. Meanwhile, all his social media accounts, including his Instagram have been deactivated.

It is unknown if Willaim was serious about his death threat or if he was mindlessly letting out his frustration. Regardless, authorities are currently investigating the individual and according to the statement released, they reassured the public that they will not compromise with anyone who threatens to disturb the peace and order of the country.
