Weddings are joyous ceremonies that everyone looks forward to, celebrating a couple’s official union with their loved ones. For many, the anticipation of seeing the wedding photos and videos that capture these beautiful moments is a major highlight, especially for the bride and groom themselves.

However, one newlywed man, known as @/AshraffMokhtar on Twitter, experienced an unfortunate situation when the videographer he hired from Alphagraphy Production ghosted him for three months. Ashraff shared screenshots of his unanswered messages on Twitter, along with the caption, “Good morning to all, except for my wedding videographer—Abdul Majid Abdul Rahim.” Here’s what happened:

In the screenshots shared by Ashraff, it’s clear that he had been asking for updates on his wedding video since 4th September but received no response from the videographer. It was also revealed that other customers had similar experiences with the same production label, with several leaving complaints on the company’s Instagram posts, expressing frustration over being left without any updates.

After the post went viral, the videographer finally addressed the issue by posting a public apology on the company’s Instagram Story. He admitted to procrastinating on his overwhelming workload, which led to him neglecting his clients and leaving them in the dark. However, the apology didn’t satisfy Ashraff, who stated, “Debt is debt. A police report awaits if the promise is not kept.” Fortunately, in a later update, Ashraff shared that he had received the raw footage of the wedding, and the final video is still in the process of editing.

Netizens were outraged by the audacity of the videographer to leave customers hanging, with many expressing their frustration over the lack of professionalism. Others chimed in, sharing similar experiences of being ghosted by their wedding photographers and videographers, while some also remarked on the unfortunate reality that, nowadays, people have to publicly call out businesses online to get issues resolved and receive the service they paid for.

As of now, the wedding videography label has removed all of their posts from Instagram and announced that they are not accepting any new projects as they are focusing on completing their current client work by 8th November. What do you think of this issue?
