As Raya approaches, many Muslims in Malaysia are playing Raya songs to get into the festive mood. One popular song choice is Siti Nurhaliza’s classic, “Sesuci Lebaran”, which recently had an unexpected cameo in RIIZE (라이즈) member Anton’s (앤톤) livestream.
On 3rd March 2026 (Tuesday), the K-pop idol started a livestream on the Weverse app to interact with BRIIZE (RIIZE fans) from around the world. During the broadcast, Anton asked the viewers for song recommendations, hoping to hear some new music. One Malaysian fan cheekily asked for the vocalist to listen to Siti Nurhaliza’s iconic Raya hit “Sesuci Lebaran”.
To their surprise, Anton actually searched for the song and played it on the livestream. In a video capturing the moment, the idol was seen quietly dancing along to the track. As the song played on, Anton even snapped his fingers to the beat. While the RIIZE member never played the entire song, the short snippet was enough to spark amusement amongst local K-pop fans.

Many quipped that Anton was ready to celebrate Raya, even jokingly wishing him “Selamat Hari Raya” in advance. Others mentioned that it’s their first time seeing a K-pop idol listen to a Malay song, let alone a Raya song. Some even poked fun at Anton’s reaction to the song, saying that “Sesuci Lebaran” is K-pop idol-approved.
Funnily, this isn’t Anton nor RIIZE’s first encounter with Malaysian Raya songs. While in Kuala Lumpur for their concert last August, Anton, along with Wonbin (원빈) and Sohee (소희), did a short dance cover of 3P’s “Syawal Berseri” during the show’s soundcheck session. The trio would later share the dance cover on their social media.

While this isn’t the first time a K-pop idol listened to a Raya song, let’s hope it won’t be the last – especially given how entertaining it can be to those celebrating. Perhaps one day we might even get a full Raya song cover from an idol.
