Said to be the biggest and longest dragon tunnel in the world, the beautifully crafted dragon tunnel, which took more than a year to build and cost approximately RM8 million, is decorated with various Chinese cultural and religious paintings inside its interior.

The launch ceremony, which drew about 5000 local and foreign visitors, also saw Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar officiating the event. He was accompanied by his son Tunku Temenggong Tunku Idris Iskandar and State Tourism, Trade and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong.

“With the opening of this dragon tunnel, it will surely draw more people coming to the district and in turn boost the local business and state economy,” said Datuk Tee before adding, “This dragon is a symbol of prosperity for Johor and I hope Green Garden will become an iconic destination.”

“Everything about this structure is related to the number 9, which represents prosperity and luck for the Chinese community. Inside, there are 108 stairs and the length of the dragon is 315ft. Both figures add up to the number 9,” continued Datuk Tee.
