Malaysia-Thailand Horror Film “Kong Tao” Cast To Visit Penang & Klang Valley

The Malaysia-Thailand horror film “Kong Tao”, set to open in cinemas nationwide on 19th March, is bringing its stars across Penang and Klang Valley with a special promotional tour and fanmeet events.

Several cast members including Hong Kong actor Philip Keung, Thai actress Kao Supassara Thanachat, Singapore actors Glenn Yong and Mayiduo, and Malaysian actor Eric Lay, will appear in person to meet fans and celebrate the release of the film.

The premieres will take place in Penang on 17th March at Mega Cineplex Prai Foyer, Megamal Pinang and in Kuala Lumpur on 18th March at TGV Cinema, Sunway Pyramid. The cast will also appear at shopping malls in Penang and Klang Valley between 17th and 20th March, where they will meet fans and participate in interactive games. Key stops include Gurney Plaza, AEON Bukit Tinggi, Sunway Velocity, and AEON Cheras Selatan.

Directed by Peiji Goh and Yong Choon Lin, and produced by Chiah Choon Hang, “Kong Tao” brings together talents from Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. The film has been described as a “black magic encyclopedia”, exploring various legends and rituals surrounding occult practices.

Penang Premiere Red Carpet

Date: 17th March (Tuesday)

Time: 7.30pm

Venue: Mega Cineplex Prai Foyer, Megamal Pinang

Kuala Lumpur Premiere Red Carpet

Date: 18th March (Wednesday)

Time: 7.30pm

Venue: TGV Cinema, Sunway Pyramid

Fans who wish to attend the premieres can visit “Kong Tao”’s official Facebook and Instagram for updates on ticket giveaways, while those unable to secure tickets can still join the fan interaction sessions outside the cinemas.
