Longines 2024 Novelties Preview
Longines held an exclusive preview of its 2024 novelties over a luncheon at Sabayon in EQ Kuala Lumpur, and we were front and centre. All eyes were on the four exclusive collections:
- Flagship Heritage
This year, the winged hourglass brand is extending its Flagship Heritage line with three new versions in Havana beige, anthracite and green, all equipped with a moonphase complication. A striking tribute to the line’s historic Flagship model launched in the 1950s, the new Flagship Heritage models combine technical expertise with timeless elegance. The collection’s signature, an 18-carat gold medallion decorated in hand-painted enamel, is featured on the case back.
- Legend Diver
Originally designed for underwater exploration, the Longines Legend Diver is equally at home on land or underwater. With its timeless design and cutting-edge performance, it is a true icon of watchmaking. In 2024, on the occasion of its 65th anniversary, the collection is being expanded with new dials in green, terracotta and anthracite grey. Presented on a 39 mm-diameter stainless steel case that is water-resistant up to 30 bar (300 m), these models are certified both as chronometers by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) and as Divers’ Watches in accordance with the ISO 6425 standard.
- Master Collection
The Longines Master Collection perfectly embodies the watchmaking expertise and timeless elegance of the winged hourglass brand. Classic and uncluttered, this emblematic line is adopting new models in 2024, which feature stainless steel, bi-material steel-yellow gold, or steel-rose gold cases in 34 mm and 40 mm diameters. Characteristic of these new watches, the sandblasted silver dial is adorned with elegant, engraved Arabic numerals.
- Spirit Flyback
In 2024, the Longines Spirit Flyback line is being expanded with new versions featuring green or brown dials, along with their ceramic bezel inserts, and a case crafted from steel and 18-carat gold. Unveiled last year, the line marks a new chapter in the long history of Longines pilot’s watches. Here’s what went down during the preview:

YSL Beauty Unveils Libre Flowers And Flames & MYSLF Le Parfum
YSL Beauty recently unveiled two new additions to its fragrance family – the Libre Flowers And Flames and the MYSLF Le Parfum.
We had the opportunity to learn more about these two bold and stunning scents at the YSL Beauty pop-up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. We checked out the two perfumes, plus other selections from the luxury beauty brand, including their iconic lipsticks. Many stars, including YSL Beauty ambassador Meerqeen, dazzled in their chic, black ensembles. Making the evening more spectacular was a performance by the homegrown band, Midnight Fusic. Pavilion Damansara Heights’s “Gaya Deepavali” 2024
Celebrate this year’s Festival of Lights with Pavilion Damansara Heights, where vibrant traditions meet an unforgettable shopping experience. Immerse yourself in the colourful Lotus of Hope kolam, designed by Mr. Jayakumar and his talented team from the Malaysian Bumiputra Designer Association (MBDA), in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. L’Orèal Paris MELASYL Glycolic Bright Serum Launch
L’Oreal Paris introduced their latest innovation, the reformulated Glycolic Bright Anti-Dark Spot Serum, now with MELASYL as the star ingredient. Clinically proven to reduce dark spots by up to 77% within eight weeks, MELASYL effectively inhibits the formation of dark spots deep within the skin, targeting early-stage melanin molecules before they become visible.

Sahi Siva’s Concert Press Conference
We were honoured to have been invited to a Press Conference to catch the one and only, British-Sri Lankan Tamil independent singer, Sahiththiyan Sivapalan, or better known by his fan as, Sahi Siva. Held at Haiku KL, the event was hosted by none other than filmmaker and youtuber, Joshua Michael, who’s also a close friend of the singer. The event begun with cover mashup of Superstar Rajinikanth’s hits, by Murty. After the performance, Joshua invited organiser and co-organiser, Madhubalan and Arvind Raj, to stage to talk about their organisation, BWHPK. They explained how the main reason the organisation started was to create an opportunity where independent artist like Sahi Siva, can have a chance to show his talent to the world.
After the small explanation, they were joined onstage by the star of the show, Sahi Siva. He explained how he was excited to perform his latest album “Unnaale” for his world tour. To our surprise, it was not only Sahi Siva’s first concert in Kuala Lumpur, in fact it was his first ever solo concert. He also added that he would be performing onstage with rapper, Ratty Adiththan. They ended the conference by stating how blessed they are to be surrounded by not only loving fans, but supportive friends as well. The press conference ended with a group photo opportunity with friends, VIPs and the media team as well.

Bejeweled Deepavali Celebration
Celebrate this year’s Deepavali, held at the Intermark Mall to enjoy the Bejeweled Deepavali Celebration. The whole event was surrounded by colourful, shimmering jewelleries, adorable batik clutch bags, dazzling traditional clothes, henna and batik painting and many more!. The event was officially launched with the alluring Bharatanatyam performance by dancers from Laasya Arts Academy and also the adorable show by kids from Primrose Hill International School.
We were then ushered to join Chelvy Samuel, the founder and designer of TC Designs, to a saree and jewellery styling station, where each of us were given an opportunity to choose any design of saree that we prefer and those in charge will help tie it for us. Chelvy then would proceed to assist us in matching a set of her specially designed jewelleries that would suit the colours of the sarees that we wore. The event will be available till 31st of October, so don’t miss out on the spectacular Deepavali celebration at Intermark Mall!
