Local influencers Ashley Lim Jinq Xin (林靖欣) and Zer0 (王贾毅) were together for four years before calling it quits in 2022. Unfortunately, during their romance, the pair jointly purchased a house and are now facing issues with the property.
According to China Press, Ashley recently took to Instagram Stories to call out her ex-partner for not making mortgage repayment on the house they bought during their relationship. The former beauty pageant contestant alleged that Zer0 missed out on loan repayment for the past few months, causing her to be troubled by debt collection calls. She also lamented that her ex-partner has been making it difficult for her to sell the property.
Ashley reportedly had planned to sell the home, even at a loss, because she wanted to cut off all communication with her ex-boyfriend. Despite that, she said isn’t able to sell the house because Zer0 hasn’t paid off the mortgage, alleging financial issues. However, Ashley argued that the influencer was lying because he had been spotted in nightclubs, which she took as a sign that he had money.
In her original statement, Ashley also claimed that her ex was ignoring her messages and calls regarding the home. Zer0 has since spoken about the issue through Instagram Stories, sharing his side of the argument. In his post, the social media personality explained he couldn’t reply to Ashley’s calls as he was busy dealing with issues about selling the home, adding that it’s a serious matter that needs to be handled carefully.
The YouTuber also said that the two parties are now communicating about the house, saying they will handle the issue privately. As of reporting, it’s unclear whether Zer0 and Ashley have reached an agreement on the home. However, many netizens have since shared their reactions to the issue, arguing that non-married couples should refrain from buying a house together as such problems may arise.
