Local Fashion Designer Khoon Hooi’s Dresses Spotted At Golden Globes 2020

Malaysian couture designer Khoon Hooi is making his name known in Hollywood this year.

During the recent 77th Golden Globes Awards red carpet, two of his designs were spotted being worn by two of the most sought-after starlets.

Karen Pittman wowed the crowd with a stunning strapless Bianca number. For those who don’t know, the full-length feather-studded gown was included in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

Meanwhile, “Once Upon A Time” star Ginnifer Goodwin was also in attendance during the 7th Golden Globes Luncheon over the weekend. The 41-year-old bombshell wore the one-shouldered Fabiana dress – also from the same collection from the label.

Known for his heavy use of vibrant colours as well as structured and solid designs embedded in most of his coutures, the Perak-born designer has been in the industry for over 20 years. He even has his own boutique located in Bangsar.
