Some individuals can get too comfortable with those of the opposite gender. While some may be okay with such behaviour, others might not find it pleasant. Recently, local content creator Huan Ooi (黄俊环) got called out for inappropriate behaviour towards a female acquaintance.
According to reports, the woman’s boyfriend took to Instagram to expose the content creator, who is married to Malaysian influencer Akiyo (蔡侒錤). On his Instagram Stories post, the man, Jona, said Huan greeted his girlfriend with a crude kissy face when they met in a mall on 1st January 2025 (Wednesday). He noted that this isn’t the first time the social media personality has made such sexually suggestive gestures towards women.

After Jona shared his experience, many others voiced similar encounters with Huan. One individual revealed that the entrepreneur once held his girlfriend’s waist. One woman also said Huan behaved inappropriately with her despite barely knowing each other. Another person said that the content creator has a reputation for getting too handsy with women, urging the man to confront him on his actions.
Huan would later directly apologise to Jona for his actions, saying he had no ill intention. He also apologised for making him and his girlfriend feel uncomfortable. However, Jona didn’t accept the apology, saying the content creator should issue a public apology since many others had similar experiences. He also called Huan out because he couldn’t remember those affected by his inappropriate behaviour.

Following the interaction, Huan issued a public apology through his Instagram Stories, admitting his mistakes to those affected. He also said he had confessed his bad behaviour to his wife Akiyo and promised to correct his wrongdoings. Huan also reflected on the matter, writing, “I will definitely take this issue as a warning in the future. I’m sorry for disappointing and setting a bad example.”
Moving forward, we hope Huan is sincere in his apology and will live up to his promises of not repeating his mistakes. We also hope this issue will remind other public figures to hold themselves accountable for their actions. What are your thoughts on this?
