There can be many reasons why a musical act pulls out of a performance at the last minute. However, many believe that local band Muah! was removed from the lineup of an upcoming concert due to their frontman, Naim Daniel.
Previously, local concert organiser Atas Angin announced their Nuansa 2025 show, which featured a lineup including Aizat Amdam, iamNEETA and Muah!. The concert will take place this Sunday (23rd November 2025) at Menara PT80. However, it was Muah!’s inclusion in the show that sparked debate because of their main vocalist, Naim Daniel. Earlier this year, the singer faced allegations of sexually assaulting a minor.

Naim pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the case is ongoing, with the next hearing scheduled for this December. Given his sexual assault case, many local music fans were outraged that Naim would perform at Nuansa 2025, arguing that the organiser is platforming an alleged criminal. However, it’s worth noting that Naim mentioned that the court had allowed him to continue his entertainment activities.
Nevertheless, on 18th November 2025 (Tuesday), Atas Angin announced that Muah! will no longer perform at its event. In the statement, the organiser said the decision was made after a discussion with all parties involved in the event. Atas Angin also states that it doesn’t condone any form of sexual harassment or violence, but mentioned that it doesn’t encourage discrimination against any artist unless there is an official call from authorities.

Atas Angin apologised to all the affected parties, including those who expressed their concerns. They also thanked the public for sharing their opinions and for their continued support. The announcement received a positive response from netizens, who praised Atas Angin for taking action on the issue. In its latest update, the concert organiser announced that Empty Page will replace Muah! for the show.
Even if there hasn’t been an official ruling, organisers should consider any ongoing court case when selecting their lineup to avoid such an issue from happening. What are your thoughts on this?
