There is no denying that “Upin & Ipin” is one of Malaysia’s most popular animated TV series. Since its debut in 2007, the show’s popularity has even reached global audiences in Indonesia, Türkiye, and other parts of Southeast Asia. The franchise has also expanded into merchandise, themed restaurants, and several attractions across the country.
It was only a matter of time before the series would eventually open up its own theme park. That dream may actually become a reality, as it was recently announced that an “Upin & Ipin” theme park is in development. Here’s what we know so far:

According to several reports, the studio behind “Upin & Ipin”, Les’ Copaque Production, has announced plans to open a theme park based on their most popular TV series, in celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary. The attraction will be located at King’s Park, Genting Highlands, Pahang. News Straits Times reported that the park will feature various immersive attractions inspired by the iconic animated twins and their adventures in the show.
“From a small dream in 2005 to becoming the most beloved animation studio in Malaysia, our journey has always been driven by passion and purpose. The ‘Upin & Ipin’ Theme Park marks a bold new chapter, bringing our stories to life and inspiring future generations,” said Les’ Copaque Managing Director, Datuk Burhanuddin Md Radzi.

At the time of writing, there is no confirmed timeline for when the “Upin & Ipin” theme park is expected to open to the public, though it is clear that the project will take several years to complete. Regardless, a franchise as iconic as “Upin & Ipin” is widely expected to be a major success. Director of King’s Park Management, Darren Yang, believes the park will not only become a popular family destination but also serve as a celebration of Malaysian creativity.
