Being a parent is simultaneously exhausting and rewarding. A good parent loves no one more than their children. Seeing your children grow up to become their own person with their own unique personalities and achieving new milestones really gets you emotional.
It’s been a few months since Badminton legend Datuk Lee Chong Wei (李宗伟) shared the news with the world that he and his wife Wong Mew Choo (黃妙珠) were expecting their 3rd child. He also mentioned that he couldn’t ask for a better gift other than the baby’s arrival when he celebrated his 40th birthday last month. Good news, everyone! The baby is finally here!
Yesterday (Monday, 28th November), Datuk Lee Chong Wei shared the wonderful news that his wife safely gave birth to their 3rd son, Anson Lee (or Lee Anson). The retired legend posted a photo on his Instagram of the three of them together in the delivery room with a caption that reads, “Welcome. Third single. Much thanks to my lovely wife for all the sacrifice.”
Prior to the IG post, the 40-year-old posted a series of IG Stories showing moments leading up to and after the arrival of little Anson. One story showed Wong Mew Choo in a hospital bed waiting for the delivery of her 3rd son and then another with her precious baby right by her side. Excited about his newborn, the loving father posted more photos of Anson and of them together on Stories.
Netizens reacted to the adorable posts with many, including celebrity and athlete friends, congratulating the power couple on the new little bundle of joy.
Despite a smooth delivery, the couple, especially Wong Mew Choo, was worried about the pregnancy at first. In an IG post posted yesterday as well, the former athlete recalled the constant visits to and stays in the hospital as she was experiencing some complications during her pregnancy. Thankfully, that’s all in the past as the delivery process went well and Anson came into the world safely. Read her story in the post below:
