Raj’s Banana Leaf Bangsar was forced to close down by DBKL after a shocking clip showed the restaurant’s “alleged new staff” washing dishes in a dirty puddle, went viral. This incident has since caused an uproar with Malaysians.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 30th May), reports circulated that Datuk Lee Chong Wei is one of the 3 Company Directors of Raj’s Banana Leaf as listed by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
In regards to the temporary closure of Raj’s Banana Leaf, the Malaysian Consumer Association (Maconas) has urged DBKL and the Federal Territories Health Department to revoke the franchise’s premise licence. This is to send a strong message that such actions would not go unpunished.
